The choices were made from a pool that consisted of interested applicants. Some other companies approved for participation include Bilview Energy Unlimited, Unistar Hi-Tech, Holley Metering Limited, Trimani Engineering and Sapropel Energy Resources Limited.

According to a report, Usman Arabi, the Head of Public Affairs for NERC said that the participants have been given certificates of “No Objection”: “MAP Regulations is intended to facilitate closure of the wide metering gap in the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry within three years. The No Objection is to qualify intending investors to participate in the meter procurement process in NESI,” he said.
