Huawei To Become Prepaid Meter Supplier

Eleven electricity companies expect this process to help to alleviate gaps in metering networks as well as reduce electricity bill and help put an end to the estimation of other bills. The implementation of this MAP regulation, according to NERC, began April 3, 2018.

Regulations by MAP are also mandating that meter asset engagement providers who will be funding the purchases and installation or replacement of their meters must also meet certain obligations to their customers. Due diligence is promised by the electricity commission. They say that documents provided by investors interested in this, as well as other provisions, have been in accordance with section eight subsection four of the MAP Regulations of 2018.

As to how the relationship is expected to turn out, according the report mentioned earlier, “The regulation mandates Discos to engage meter assets providers who fund purchase, installation and replacement metering obligations to their customers.”
